So I decided to throw together a tip calculator the other day and submit it to both the android market and the App store. It is currently awaiting approval from Apple, but is available for Android! If you download it please leave me some feedback in the comments!

We set up a test machine at work for a video wall that we are working on (that is controlled with am iPad) and this is what it looks like in my office... six screens is insane to work on and we were able to hit Flash Players threshold of max resolution... fun stuff

Got my new MAXXIS MA-V1 95V BSW tires mounted on the cobra wheels and on the car. Looks 1000x better... now just needs paint, a few more bolt-ons, and summer!

As usual the picture quality is crap but you get the idea...

2 of the major things I am doing to get the mustang ready for spring are done! The old convertible top was faded, stained, ripped and just rough overall (even though the picture a few posts back it looks decent) so I got a new one! Also, it came with some stock GT wheels that I wasn't too excited about so I picked up a set of powder coated Cobra wheels (from a 99)- they are super dirty in the picture below, but cleaned up really nice! Next is paint then some other bolt-on things through the spring summer!

I am a pretty big fan of 37Signals and TED so seeing Jason Fried talking on TED was pretty awesome - I know this is from last fall but recently saw it posted again and I think it should be a mandatory video that everyone in should watch.

I havent updated my website development projects in a while and i have 4-5 sites to add, I just have been crazy busy! so keep checking back because i intend on posting new projects in my portfolio in the next week!

Today was a pretty exciting day, was able to get an application that we (Jason ActionScript programmer at Two Rivers) have been working on for a couple of weeks - the project is a Adobe Flash interface that we are publishing in AIR to run as a desktop application, but today I decided to try packaging it up and deploying it to the iPad and to my surprise it was successful and works really well. Below is a shot of the application sitting in Flash Professional CS5 and me holding up the iPad with the app running. Yes, I know the application's UI is blurred out but your going to have to trust me that they are the same.

I know, I know, I haven't posted any new projects or designs in a while now... Don't worry I have a lot of things in development that are about to launch so just stay tuned there will be plenty of fun new things to check out soon enough!

Here is a logo I did really quick for my buddy who works for Hub City Implement in Oelwein, IA. I know they used the logo in a newspaper ad for their GPS / Auto Steer division (yes there is a fancier name for it, but this is easier to understand), but not 100% sure if they are going to use it for anything else but either way here it is:

My first iPhone app has been in the iTunes store for about a month now and the iPad version of it is in review! The app was done by the agency I woerk for (Two Rivers Marketing) for Colorbiotics. The app is a Mulch calculator and mulch color selector, the calculator function allows you to put in the width, length and depth of your project and tells you how many cubic yards and/or bags of mulch you need. The mulch selector lets you switch between house colors and mulch color to help you decide which will look best for you. Download it for free on iTunes (Click image below)

This year Kelly and I decided to do a email Christmas card which seems super lazy, so to show that we actually did put some thought into the card i developed a Flash game for every one to play/waste time if you are at work this week! you can click here to read our letter and click the image below to go play the game!

well all of the Christmas's for Kelly and I have come to an end and I can say that it was a great weekend! We had a little bit of snow fall but it didn't hinder our travel at all! I have too much work to do to give a full re-cap of everything that happened so I figured I would just grad some random moments and post them! ..yes those are Reindeer ears on our dog Ryder haha


first one that I have to talk about is how awesome my wife is... i gave her absolutely no ideas for Christmas, I mean not even a "i like that" comment was made while shopping haha.. anyway, she ends up knocking it out of the park with a new Hawkeyes golf bag - seriously i think that Kell knows me better than I know me hahaha!

Next thing that comes to mind is the Xbox Kinect that my dad bought (for the grand kids of course haha)... i didn't have very high expectations for what the game play would be like but was really impressed with how much fun that thing really is... not to mention how good of a workout you get playing it (not going to tell you if my calves still hurt or not haha). also needs to be pointed out how funny you look playing it... Another one that needs to be mentioned that i dont have a picture of is how much fun the Tony Hawk skateboard is - my nephew got one for his Xbox.

If you are from Iowa you know the madness that Templeton Rye has brought to the area and I have to admit that I wasn't on board with it because I am not a huge whiskey drinker... but my dad was able to get a bunch of it for us and I have to say that I was pretty excited when we opened it up... so I guess i can officially say that i am on the templeton bandwagon haha!
